Takota
| Takota came to us from the DeMoss ranch in New Meadows, Idaho. He is naturally short wooled, exactly what we were looking for. Takota has fathered many outstanding cria in his time with us, such as Tess and Star... just to name a few. Takota became a world champion fence crawler in order to reach our older stud... until we hung a metal chain on his halter. Most of our fences are electric and I was fortunate to witness his first attempt to go through the fence wearing the chain. I wish I had thought to bring the camera with me, the expression on his face was priceless! The ground was very wet at the time and Takota found it to be a very shocking experience. We since have had to give him yearly refresher lessons on the evils of fence crawling and he does catch on quickly. |
